Our Breeding Philosophy
Chrysus Spirit Goldens is a small, purpose-driven Golden Retriever program focused on health, temperament, structure, genetic diversity, and working ability.
We aim to produce multi-purpose Golden Retrievers suited for active companion homes, therapy work, service prospects, scent work, search and rescue exposure, and other performance activities. We use health testing, pedigree research, genetic tools, and structured puppy development to guide our breeding decisions.

-
Specific coat color, coat length, or coat type
-

We do not breed for:
Health Testing & Genetic Stewardship
Health testing helps guide responsible breeding decisions, reduce known risks where possible, and contribute meaningful data to the breed community.
No breeder can guarantee a perfectly healthy dog. Genetics, environment, development, and chance all play a role. Our responsibility is to test honestly, use the best available tools, and make thoughtful, transparent decisions.
Along with health testing, we also:
-
Study underlying genetics
-
Participate in research programs
-
Share information with other breeders and databases
-
Contribute genetic data to support long-term breed health
